After mastering the art of making pigs, Omersa embarked on expanding the range of animals. They started by introducing the very popular rhinocerous, elephant and donkey. Omersa then struck up an exclusivity deal with Liberty's of Regent Street, London in the early 1960's to sell these items. This arrangement expired during the mid 1970's. Animals from this period can be found with the word "LIBERTY" embossed on the underside of an ear. The animals were originally sold through Abercrombie and Fitch in North America and developed a significant following which we continue to enjoy. Today Omersa animals can be found across the world in only select specialty stores including North River Outfitter and are often seen at Country House Auctions.
