The Omersa Collection is a range of unique leather animal footstools and desk top accessories made exclusively by Omersa and Company. The first leather pig was made in 1927 and sold through Liberty of London where they can still be found today. For those who have grown up with an Omersa animal they have become a very special part of childhood and a highly coveted family heirloom. Our delightful animals make wonderful gifts suitable for special occasions - weddings, christenings, special anniversary birthdays and are equally appreciated by men, women and children. With over 30 different animals to choose from, each in a variety of sizes, there is an animal to suit every situation.

The animals are hand crafted from English full grain cowhide specifically produced for our purposes. Inside each animal there is a sturdy steel and wooden frame. Fine compressed woodwool is packed by hand around the frame and is used to build up the features of the animal. As each piece of leather responds differently to this hand crafting process no two animals are ever alike.

Each piece is truly unique and this adds to their charm and personality. Finally the leather is hand stained, waxed and polished to achieve a luxurious rich brown antique finish.

The Omersa animal can be used very effectively to enhance the interior of any home or office. The larger pieces are sturdy enough to be used as a decorative footstool or occasional seat by an adult whilst our miniature collection add interest to a desktop or mantlepiece. Wherever they are used, they are always assured to be a conservation piece!

- keep your animal dry, out of direct sunlight and away from direct heat
- apply a clear, good quality wax polish to your animal from time to time to protect the leather and remove scuffs
- do not use any water, spray/liquid wax polish as it may damage the stain we have applied to the animal
